this and the next two tracks on this album are part of a "COVID-19 online collaboration" I did with friends and bandmates Dwight Schenk, David Novak and Bill Coombs in early 2021 called "The Exploding Man". The songs relate to a concept Dwight came up with: a man named Stan loses several body parts in an explosion, but eventually, he is pieced back together again.

Stan, an unfortunate man / or rather, torso and right leg
Is laying in bed / hooked up to machines
Feeling incomplete
A very slim chance of recovery…

“Likewise!” says Torso. “So how’d you get in?”
